Do You Agree With What James Talarico Says it Means to be a Real Man?

James Talarico believes the mark of a great man isn’t his power, but his sense of responsibility. It’s keeping his commitments to his family and community. It’s choosing quiet service over self-promotion. And it’s doing what’s right, even when no one is watching.

James has often pointed to his own life for an example. His adoptive father, Mark Talarico, mowed their lawn every Saturday without fail. Then, without being asked, he’d head next door to mow the lawn of an elderly widowed neighbor. He never made a big deal of it. He just did it, because he believed that’s what a man does.

As Talarico has put it, "real men serve others, weak men serve themselves."
