Choose the Better Man
FOR TEXAS
This November, Texas Christians face a choice between two men—and the values we want represented in Washington, D.C.
James Talarico has spent his life serving others—as a teacher in some of San Antonio’s poorest communities, a seminary student, and a state legislator fighting for working families.

Ken Paxton’s career has been defined by scandal, including a felony indictment, an FBI investigation, an impeachment by his fellow Republicans, and his wife divorcing him for adultery.
Texas deserves leadership rooted in service, integrity, and responsibility. That’s why we, as Texas evangelicals, choose James Talarico to be our next Senator.
James Talarico: A Leader With a Strong Biblical Witness
James Talarico grew up in the pew, listening to his grandfather, a Baptist preacher, teach what the Gospel is really about. Jesus gave us two commandments: love the Lord and love your neighbor as yourself. James took those words to heart. For James, loving your neighbor isn't a talking point. It's the reason he shows up. Jesus said that whatever we do for the least of these, we do for Him. James believes that, and it shows in how he treats the people he serves.
Standing Up for the Least of these
Before James Talarico ran for office, he was standing in front of a classroom of sixth graders in one of the poorest zip codes in Texas. He didn't go into politics to make a name for himself. He went because he saw firsthand what those families were up against, and he wanted to do something about it. That's the kind of man he is. He doesn't just talk about hardworking families; he takes action to make their lives better.
While serving in the Texas state legislature, James capped insulin copays at $25 a month so no parent has to choose between medicine and groceries. He wrote a bill to import prescription drugs from Canada that would cut the cost of common medications by 60 to 70 percent. And he's made affordable childcare one of his top priorities, because he knows a family can't get ahead when daycare costs more than rent. That's what it looks like when someone actually serves the people who sent him.
Ken Paxton’s Record of Waste, Fraud, & Abuse — and Refusal to Take Accountability
Paxton had barely been sworn in as Attorney General when a grand jury indicted him on felony securities fraud charges for misleading investors. He spent nine years fighting the case before reaching a 2024 deal that included community service and restitution—but no guilty plea. He never had to answer the charges in court.
Then, in 2020, Paxton’s own senior deputies reported him to the FBI, after Paxton used his office to benefit a mega-wealthy donor. He fired four of them. They sued, and in 2025 a Travis County judge ruled the firings illegal and ordered Paxton’s office to pay $6.6 million in taxpayer money.
In 2023, Paxton’s own party-controlled Texas House impeached him on 20 articles, including bribery and abuse of office. The impeachment proceedings also exposed an affair Paxton started with a Christian social media influencer. In 2025, Paxton’s wife, State Senator Angela Paxton divorced him on biblical grounds.
We Choose the Better Man
Only one man in this race has lived out his Christian faith – choosing to do what’s right even when no one is watching. Only one man who shares our Christian values, who we can trust to live them out as a U.S. Senator.
We choose the better man. That man is James Talarico.
